Registration

  • Sign up online via our official website at https://cebuhalfmarathon.com/
  • Provide personal information, and emergency contacts, and agree to terms and conditions.
  • Emergency contacts in Manila are strongly recommended.
  • Pay registration fees securely through designated gateways.
  • Registration changes are not accepted after the event starts.
  • Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Processing and web admin fees are not included.

 

Eligibility

  • Participants must meet the minimum age requirement:
    • 21K: 18 years old and above
    • 10K: 16 years old and above
    • 5K: 13 years old and above
  • Children under 13 can participate with a parent/guardian.
  • Participants under 16 need parental consent and a guardian’s signature on the entry form.

 

Race Kit Collection

  • Follow our social media pages for announcements about the kit claiming dates and venues
  • Instructions on ID verification will be provided to ensure a smooth process.

 

Race Kit Contents

  • Race Number: Unique bib for identification and timing.
  • Timing Chip: Attached to the back of your race number for accurate tracking.
  • Event Singlet/Shirt: Official race shirt promoting participant unity.
  • Collect your race kit according to the schedule to ensure everyone is prepared.

 

Race Number

  • Wear your race number visibly on your front throughout the race.
  • The timing chip is attached at the back, so avoid folding or covering it.
  • Not displaying the number properly may result in disqualified times.
  • Fill in the emergency contact number on the back with a Manila family member’s details.
  • Lost numbers require re-registration. Runners without a number cannot participate.
  • Race numbers are non-transferable. Sharing or selling your number leads to disqualification and suspension from future events.

 

Timing

  • Your official finish time is based on when you cross the start and finish lines.
  • Top finishers are determined by gun time (time from the start horn to crossing the finish line).

 

Start & Finish Points

  • The official race map will be announced soon, showing start and finish locations.
  • Review the map to familiarize yourself with the route.
  • Assembly area and start times for each category will be provided.
  • Arrive at the designated assembly area on time. Climbing barricades or entering improperly may lead to disqualification.
  • Latecomers must report to the next available corral to ensure safety.
  • Participants who don’t start within 15 minutes of their flag-off time will be disqualified.
  • Race courses will close after designated cut-off times to allow street reopening.
  • Refer to event communication for specific details on assembly areas and start times.

 

Route Information

  • The course adheres to RUNRIO standards and includes water stations, medical aid points, and restrooms for participant convenience.
  • Stay within the designated course boundaries marked by barriers and avoid disqualification.
  • Rejoining the race after leaving the course is not allowed.
  • Unofficial pacers and assistance from unregistered participants are strictly prohibited. Disqualification may occur for receiving aid from non-medical personnel.

 

Hydration

  • Water and sports drink stations are positioned every 1.5KM to 2Km along the route.
  • Littering is prohibited; dispose of waste responsibly in designated bins.

 

Medical Support

  • Medical personnel are stationed throughout the race course, start, and finish lines.
  • If you need medical assistance during the race:
    • On the Course: Approach the nearest medical personnel or look for medical tents/personnel with identifiable vests.
    • Start and Finish Lines: Seek assistance from designated medical areas or personnel.
  • Familiarize yourself with the emergency contact information provided on your race bib or participant guide.
  • Use your communication device to alert event staff or medical personnel in case of an emergency.
  • Your well-being is our priority. Don’t hesitate to seek medical help if you experience any health concerns.

 

Awards and Prizes

The top 3 finishers in each category will be recognized at an awards ceremony. They’ll receive a, medal and recognition on stage. Additional awards like overall winners, age group champions, and special recognitions may be announced later.

Be there to win! Winners must attend the ceremony to claim their prizes. Your presence ensures proper acknowledgment and timely receipt of your awards.

 

Post-Race Activities

Details on exciting post-race activities, entertainment, and recovery services will be announced soon.

Don’t forget your finisher’s medal! As soon as you cross the finish line, head to the redemption area in the activity zone to collect your medal, loot bag, and other sponsor goodies.

 

Results & Certificates

Official race results will be available online within 1-2 days after the race. Ensure accurate data by completing the online forms correctly. Visit the official website to view your results and celebrate your accomplishments!

 

Code of Conduct

Respect fellow runners, volunteers, and event staff. Unsportsmanlike conduct, offensive language, or harassment towards anyone involved in the race will result in disqualification.

Protests: Objections to results must be submitted in writing to event officials or emailed to [email protected] within one hour of results being posted. A non-refundable protest fee of P5,000 applies. Verbal protests will not be considered.

 

Photos & Media

By participating, you consent to the use of your image and footage captured by official race photographers and videographers for promotional purposes.

 

Safety

For everyone’s safety, please follow instructions from event officials, staff, and volunteers. Skateboards, strollers, headphones, earbuds, and costumes obscuring your face or extending beyond your body are prohibited. Be aware of your surroundings and follow traffic rules.

 

RUNRIO Inc. reserves the right to modify event details, including postponement, cancellation, or suspension due to weather or safety concerns. Participants must immediately exit the race if instructed by event officials, medical staff, or authorities like firefighters or police officers.

 

Prohibited Items:

  • Weapons (firearms, knives, etc.)
  • Dangerous items (hammers, saws, sharp objects, etc.)
  • Flammable liquids, fuels, fireworks, toxic chemicals, and explosives
  • Large packages, coolers, tents, etc. 
  • Sleeping bags, large blankets, or comforters
  • Alcoholic beverages and illegal substances
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), survey balloons, photography mini-copters, or any flying device with an on/off switch
  • Opaque or non-transparent plastic bags (clear trash bags are allowed)
  • Liquid containers larger than one liter
  • Strollers
  • Suitcases and rolling bags
  • Costumes covering the face or bulky outfits extending beyond your body
  • Selfie sticks and any camera mount or rig not directly attached to your head or torso

 

Rule Changes

The race organizer may change any rules and regulations to ensure the success of the event, without prior notice. The race organizer’s decision is final.

 

Remember: Participants are responsible for familiarizing themselves with and adhering to these rules. Failure to comply may result in penalties, disqualification, or other consequences as deemed appropriate by the race organizers.
